Step by step, milestone by milestone – a business hub of international calibre is taking shape in Vienna's fast-growing 22nd district. By 2028, 10,500 high-quality homes for over 20,000 people and up to 20,000 workplaces will be created here at Seestadt.
More than two-thirds of the new jobs will be in administration, services and retail, with a further 4,000 planned in the trade & industry, R&D and culture and education sectors. Over 6,000 people already live at Seestadt, and more than 1,500 work in the new city-within-a-city.

120 businesses have already taken the decision to locate at Seestadt: the spectrum ranges from one-person companies to Austria's first 4.0 pilot plant, from Vienna's biggest non-profit training enterprise, Wien Work, to global technology group HOERBIGER.

Today + Tomorrow

To date, one quarter of the total site area has been completed. The business hub will gain additional momentum in the coming years with the development of further neighbourhoods to the north. With its clear focus on office and commercial space, the Likeside Park Quarter currently under construction directly adjacent to Seestadt U2 station will be the business hotspot of southern Seestadt. 
The northward expansion will continue from 2018 onwards: plans for the "Lakeside Crescent" Quarter provide for over 1,100 new apartments, while some 58,000 sqm of the net lettable floor space are earmarked for retail and commercial premises. A second school campus is also planned.

Lakeside Park Quarter

The current focus of development, sale and letting activities is on the quarter south of the lake. Tens of thousands of square metres of office, commercial and retail space are available here for companies from a diverse range of sectors.

"Lakeside Crescent" Quarter

The first neighbourhood north of the lake combines housing and jobs in close proximity: as well as attractive, affordable apartments, the plans provide ample space for shops, service providers and much more besides.

Lakeside Terraces Quarter

The fourth quarter at Seestadt boasts shops, cafés and restaurants, arcaded loggias along the waterfront and residential projects with the wow factor overlooking the lake and the skyline of the southern shore.

Wien 3420 aspern development AG is the agency responsible for the development of aspern Seestadt and the sale and letting of building land on the site.
